      Hi Charles,

Do you have any plans to share schematics and board on
      https://github.com/hallard/ULPNode
or this is more like commercial product that is not suppose to share such things?

As far as I understand https://github.com/hallard/ULPNode/tree/master/hardware/ArduiNode
is very early prototype of ULPNode and it's far far away from current state?

wdyt how bad idea is to order ArduiNode on seeedstudio to start mastering home automation
and learning fundamentals of ULPNode. Ideally I want to integrate it with https://emoncms.org/

I'm sorry if my questions is too rude

        @Sergey-Kabashnyuk
Yes schematics will be released, I'm focusing now on some other projects that take all my attention.

You're right, absolutely nothing in common, ArduiNode was really my 1st prototype without Power Management of the CPU .

          Thanks for response.
Any idea to share your last prototype with community on github?
          For instance this one https://hallard.me/ulpnode-projet-update/

            Hello @Charles
I know you are busy during last couple of month.
But anyway I would like to kindly ask you if you have some free time spot to share current version of ULPNode on github.

A couple of additional question about components used in ULPnode

            1. Is there any reason to mix SMD component sizes on the same board. I mean 0608 0805 and 1206
            2. WDYT Guys from openenergymonitor used a bit more expensive Step-Up regulator
LTC3525 https://github.com/openenergymonitor/Hardware/tree/master/emonTH/emonTH_V1_5 for sensor node. Would it have some benefits to use it in UPNode

              @Sergii said in ULPNode schematic:

              • In the doc of LTC3525 there is info, that quiescent current in shutdown mode is 0.1uA, while the same parameter in MCP1640 is 0.7uA - so worse.
              • In LTC you have Input Start-Up Voltage 0.85V, in MCP this is 0.65V - so better.
              • In MPC you get regulated output voltage from 2.0 to 5.5V (with 6M8 and 3M9 resistors you get 0.28uA loss, or you can use mosfet to disconnect resistors completly), in LTC series you have to use different components.
              • Compare price on http://www.digikey.com 🙂 LTC $44.1/pcs while MCP $0.57/pcs 😉

LPC seams to have better efficiency for 1.2 V, 10mA ~88% while MPC has ~82%,
but for 100mA both have 80%...

So I would pick MPC because it's regulated, and has lover voltage start and significantly lower price 😉

                Small correction in price LTC ~ 4.16 . Not 44 ))

Model	Output Current	Start-up VOUT Price	Efficiency (1.2 V, 10mA)	Package	Shutdown current
                LTC3525 400mA	0.85V	3V, 3.3V or 5V	4.16$	88%	SC70 0.1uA
                MCP1640 350mA	0.65V	2.0V to 5.5V	0.57$	82%	SOT-23-6 0.7uA
                NCP1400A 100mA	0.8V	1.9V to 5.0V	0.7$ 80%	SOT-23-5 0.15uA
                MAX1674 420mA	0.9V	1.9V to 5.0V	3$	90%	8µMAX 0.1uA
                BL8530 200mA	0.8V	2.5V~6.0V	0.2$	80%	SOT-89-3 7uA

I agree MCP1640 looks like a good choice.

                  Hello @Charles
                  Any progress with ULPNode?
                  Can you publish current schematics?

                    Hello @Charles
I hope you have a chance to take a look on ULPnode schematics. Do you have any progress on this topic? Any chance to see raw materials or at least photos or schematics?
